Good evening, dear readers, because it is always evening or the middle of the night when we talk about the unknown. The unknown - what does that mean? A twig snaps. Someone breathes down your neck. Chains rattle and the moaning you are hearing is not coming from your sick grandmother. The man next door has a collection of plastic skeletons. Rumor has it that a mummy has been stolen from the national museum - with no proof of it being carried out. Only a dusty trail of bandages.
All that is unknown is not frightening. Once there was a little girl named Alice who fell down a rabbit hole. Before you were born, a beautiful girl wandered a dreary castle, searching for a bit of light to reveal to her the creature that followed her footsteps. What is unknown is also full of wonder. Because we cannot see beyond the veil, the mystery is what keeps the blood pumping in our veins.
At least, that's the idea behind the theme of our premier issue of Tattercoats Magazine: Wonders of the Unknown.We are pleased to announce that, with the launch of our site, we have secured some very special guests for our first issue.
Our feature will be on the members of Tallahassee, Florida's ALPHA Ghost Team: Ron Bordner, Scott Tepperman and Bill Karalius. Scott Tepperman can also be seen on Ghost Hunters International on the Syfy channel. These guys have been seeking out the paranormal for a long time and have plenty of stories to share; we'll bring the marshmallows and firewood. Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be a ghost hunter? Have you ever wondered what ghost hunters like to eat for breakfast? Well, you'll find out soon.
